How to Use Ren’Py Game Factory
Ren’Py Game Factory is a Windows app that turns your idea into a playable visual novel with a story, characters and visuals. This guide explains how the factory works and what to keep in mind for good results.

How it works
- Write your idea. Describe the topic, genre (adventure, mystery, romance, horror, comedy…) and mood in a few sentences.
- Story and characters. The factory writes the story, characters and dialogue from your idea.
- Visuals. Character and background images are generated with AI.
- Builds the game. Text and images are combined into a working Ren’Py project.
- Play and edit. Play it through and edit any scenes or lines you don’t like.
How to write a good idea
- State genre and tone: “a dark mystery” and “a fun school comedy” give very different results.
- Introduce the main character: who they are, what they want and what stands in the way.
- Name the setting: city, era and atmosphere keep the visuals consistent.
- Think about choices: describe the decisions the player should make so the story can branch.
Good to know
- The games you create are yours; review and edit them before publishing.
- Creating unlawful content is prohibited — see the Terms of Use.
- Small Ren’Py settings like fonts or the splash screen may need manual tweaks.
